Team GorGrp.com took 37th place in the 2008 Primal Quest Montana Adventure Race!  It was an emotional finish, but everyone was in great condition save a few very minor cuts and bruises.  After days of rain and snow melt, all of the river and ropes sections were canceled for the the vast majority of the race competitors.  As result, almost 100 mi of hiking and biking replaced the missing sections.  Congratulations to team GorGrp.com on a job well done.

After their arrival in Montana, Team GorGrp.com had little time before the melee that is Primal Quest began.  After Day 2, the highest ranked competitors have covered 141 miles.  After the brutal first stages, four teams have already withdrawn.  Due to high waters, certain kayaking/river boarding stages of the race have been closed due water hazards.  None of the above has fazed Team GorGrp.com though.  They are trekking along at a consistent pace and are in great physical and mental shape.  Above: The GorGrp team before departure and Jacqueline and Ben paddling during the race.  More updates to follow! The GorGrp Team just ran out to Red Rocks, NV for some serious big wall fun training.  Red Rocks, which is just west of the Las Vegas Strip is well known for its multi-pitch crack and big wall climbing.  Like many Primal Questers the GorGrp Team figures, “Why gamble with money when you can run out to Red Rocks and gamble on some thin pieces of nylon and aluminum for ‘free?’”

Jacqueline Eastridge, a Senior Paralegal in Pennsylvania, has competed in the 150 mile self-supportive RacingthePlanet Sahara Race and Gobi March. Starting March 30th she will be racing in the Atacama Crossing in Chile.

Steve Hall is currently a Bomb Squad Sergeant at the Albuquerque Police Department and is an avid triathlon and Ironman competitor. He was part of team USA in the World Triathlon Competition that took place last year in Germany and is looking forward to competing in this year’s Eco-Challenge: Primal Quest with Team GorGrp.

Ben Allen, captain of Team GORGRP, served with the U.S. Coast Guard for 5 years before joining the Law Enforcement community in Albuquerque, NM.  He is also a five time Ironman competitor and has been competing in adventure racing since 1996.

Justin Shook is currently an officer with the Albuquerque Police Department and has competed in numerous road races and triatholons around the globe. Justin’s previous occupation as a Pararescue Specialist in the US Air Force has prepared him will to compete in endurance racing; he recently placed 2nd and 3rd in the Balance Bar Adventure Race in Hood River, Oregon and the Adventure Extreme Adventure Race in Durango, CO respectively.
